Joe D. Sisneros, 86, of Brighton, passed away May 17, 2012 in Westminster. He was born July 6, 1925 in Las Vegas, NM. He attended schools in Denver and later married Teresa Berdeja in 1986 in Denver.
He came from humble beginnings in New Mexico and has lived in the Brighton area for the majority of his life. Joe worked in Security at the Denver Capital building for 25 years. He also worked in Construction and played music around Brighton.
Joe was a hardworking, honorable man who loved his family. He never missed a day of work to due sickness. He was proud to have worked for numerous Governors. Joe was loved by and dedicated to Governor Lamb and Governor Romer; receiving a commendation from Governor Romer upon his Retirement.
He was always organized and methodical in how he went about his daily routine. He always took care of his family, never accepting any credit. Joe was a huge role model for his family and was a father figure to many others. His life was lived honorably and he will be greatly missed.
Joe is survived by his wife, Teresa, of Brighton; step-son, Gus (Annie) Torrico of Broomfield ; brothers, Nick Sisneros and Louis Sisneros, both of Denver; sister, Flora Sisneros of Denver; three step-grandchildren and five great-step-grandchildren.
