Jody Lewis Hadfield, 57, of Fontana, California died unexpectedly on February 19, 2016. Jody was born on August 22, 1958, in Brigham City, Utah to Coy Susan Lewis and Delbert (Deb) Warburton Hadfield. His early years were spent in Brigham City surrounded by family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1976 and then attended Utah State University, majoring in Communications. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

In 1982 Jody began his career of 33 years in the aerospace industry at Morton Thiokol Corporation. He continued his education at Weber State University and completed his APICS Certification in 1991 and was a member of the Greater Salt Lake Chapter.

Jody married Susan Pape in Brigham City, Utah. He and Susan became proud parents and welcomed their daughter, Olivia Coy, in 1992. The Hadfield family moved to Southern California in 2001.

Jody continued his career with Northrop Grumman Corporation electronic systems. In 2003 he achieved his Six Sigma Black Belt based on global productivity solutions and operational excellence. In 2008 Jody became the Material Program Manager for Southern California for Aerojet Rocketdyne.

Jody was a golfer at heart. As a young child, he began playing golf with his parents in Brigham City. In his youth, Jody enjoyed working as the amateur greenskeeper on the local golf course. He continued to play with friends and competitors whenever he could. He remained an avid fan and spectator.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Pape) Hadfield, daughter, Olivia Coy Hadfield, sister, Karen Hadfield (Tony) Eyre. Jody was predeceased by his parents Delbert and Coy Hadfield.
