Joanne M. (Eby) Iott, age 87 of Normal, Il., formerly of Midland, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Bloomington, Il. The daughter of the late Joseph J. and Justine M. (Bruck) Eby was born Sept, 25, 1931 in Dearborn, Mi. On June 6, 1959, she married Leonard L. Iott. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2010 after 51 years of marriage.
She earned an Associate’s degree from Dearborn Junior College and worked as a payroll bookkeeper until her first child was born. She devoted herself to caring for her children, her husband and her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching and mystery stories.
She is survived by her sons, Joel (Peter) Iott of Chicago, Il., Thomas (Penny) Iott of Normal, Il., son-in-law Dennis (Cathi) Sczechowski of Royal Oak, and grandchildren Justin, Nicole, Claire, and Paige. In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Iott- Sczechowski, and her brother, Charles Eby.
