CLAVIER, Joanne, Kalamazoo, MI. Joanne died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born August 1, 1946, in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of William B. and Florence L. Hunt German and had been a life long area resident.
She retired from General Motors in 1985. Joanne was a former member of Eagles Aerie #526 and UAW Local #488. Joanne was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Lewis and Blanche Hunt; father, William B. German; beloved aunt, Catherine Brown and special friend, Buck Shields.
Surviving are: two daughters, Monique Clavier-Hull David Hull of Canfield, OH and Daniele Clavier of Mattawan; three grandchildren, Jessica Clavier, Zachary Hull and Xander Hull; mother, Florence Thiel of Kalamazoo; four brothers, Kenneth German of Mattawan, Carl Martha German of Phoenix, AZ, Ron Diane German of Mattawan and Jerry German of Cleveland, TN; sister, Karen German of Kalamazoo; step-brother, Bob Thiel of Vicksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
