Joann Haney was born July 24, 1938, in Paintsville, Kentucky to Ballard and Mary Jane Rowe Ward. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Haney married Archie Haney on December 27, 1956, in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Mrs. Haney was self-employed as the owner of Small World Day Care in Huntington. Joann was an avid gardener and loved her family and grandkids. She was a member of Columbia City Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Archie; one son: Archie R. Haney, and wife Deb, Huntington; one daughter: Mary Waters, Huntington; one sister: Hester Nunley and husband Jim, Huntington; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Joann was preceded in death by six brothers: Claude Ward, Lester Ward, Clark Ward, Leroy Ward, Wiley Ward and Jeff Tacket and Seven sisters: Bessie Bevins, Prudy Brackett, Gurth Hamilton, Fannie Tackett, Hattie Curtis, Cindy Murray, and Ruby Shoemaker.
