JoAnn D. Stout, 53, of Galesburg, went to be with our Heavenly Father, the evening of March 23, 2016.
JoAnn was born January 13, 1963, in Galesburg, the daughter of John C. Stout and Rebecca A. (Horn) Stout.
JoAnn is survived by her children, whom she loved dearly, sons, Steven (Michelle) Mackey, Daniel Steward, Adam Simonson, all of Galesburg; her daughter, Rachel (Chuck) Sloan of Bellevue, NE; and her grandchildren whom she adored, Tanner Mackey, Cody Park, Arianna, Audrey and Tristan Sloan. JoAnn is also survived by her loving parents, John Stout and Beckie Stout; her devoted sisters, LeAnn (Terry) Boone and Jonna (Phil) Stout; her special friends, Lisa (Rick) Poulson and Terri Sargeant; as well as her sister Shelly (Jeremy) Stokes; many nephews and nieces whom she loved as her own. She was preceded by her grandparents, uncles, aunts and her great nephew.
She worked various jobs, most notably at New China and Rite Track Café’s. She also worked at Wareco, Farmland, and In-Home Health.
JoAnn was a loving person with a heart of gold. She always tried to make you feel special. She was always there to lend a helping hand whenever you needed it. If you ever needed to know what was going on with anyone, she was the go to girl. She was very determined and always did things her way.
When she wasn’t spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed camping and fishing and caught some great fish. She went to some awesome concerts. When it came to crafts she dove right in to them and made some of the most amazing stuff. Each of these hobbies she totally enjoyed.
