Joann Carder Shingleton Langford, age 76, of Clarksburg passed away on July 6, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on March 5, 1937 in Clarksburg; daughter of the late Claude Wilmoth and Blanche Irene Moore Wilmoth. She is survived by five sons, Raymond Carder Jr. and wife Clarissa; Roger Carder and fiancé Colleen Day; Rodney Carder and wife Jane; Billy Shingleton and wife Nancy; David Shingleton and wife Traci; two step-daughters; three foster daughters; one brother, Dave Wilmoth; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three husbands, Raymond Carder Sr.; William “Bill” Shingleton; Dale Langford; two grandchildren; and one sister, Peggy Wilmoth. Joann was a member of the VFW Post #573 and the American Legion Post 13. She was devoted to her family and friends and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed singing karaoke and was known as “Sister Jo” by her karaoke friends. She also had a passion for doing yard work, loved animals, being outdoors and spending as much time as possible with family. She attended the Glenn Falls Baptist Church.
