Joan Young Hall, age 92 of Lost Creek, WV passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at United Hospital Center, surrounded by her family. She was born September 14, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of the late Dever Young and Mabel (Allman) Young.
Joan is survived by her son, Cecil Glen Hall; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Stuart and Cora Sue Shearer; seven grandchildren, Yvonne Hall, Randy Hall, Joseph Hall, John Carder, Stephanie Stuart, Bernard Stuart and Meredith Shearer; a sister, Martha Young Davis; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Hall; a brother, Gary Linn Young; a brother-in-law, Hugh C. Davis a granddaughter, Becky Hall.
Joan graduated from Lost Creek High School. She was a member of Monroe Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was the church Secretary for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a devoted housewife.
