Joan Rabideau, 74, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Joan was born March 13, 1935 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana to Roman and Edith (Keehn) Tuholski. After graduating from Rolling Prairie High School in 1952, she married David Cowgill.

David preceded her in death in 1989 after 37 years of marriage. In 1996, Joan married Homer Rabideau in Mooers Forks, New York. Homer preceded her in death in 2009. She lived in Mooers Forks, New York and wintered in Lakeland, Florida until her recent move back to New Carlisle, Indiana. Joan was active in her church. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bradenton, Florida. Joan was very creative and enjoyed arts and crafts projects, painting, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She loved vacation cruises and delighted in the wonderful meals served. Joan had a positive attitude and was like a second mom to many.

Survivors include her children, Debra Cowgill of Boston; Donald (Linda) Cowgill of New Carlisle; David (Ann) Cowgill II of Indianapolis; Dan (Becky) Cowgill of Las Vegas and Delores (Spiros) Papiaoannou of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Joey, William, Rachelle, Tammy, Katie, Kyle, Daniel and Philip; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Betty Parmley of Osceola, Indiana and Delores (Mitlon) Schroeder of Rolling Prairie, her brother, Edward Tuholski of Galien, Michigan, many nieces and nephews, and by Homer’s loving family.
