Joan (Peterson) Dysert, 83, of Greensburg PA, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on December 4, 1937 in Turtle Creek PA, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Stadterman) Peterson. After high school, Joan took a job at American Standard in Pittsburgh, where she met her husband Bill Dysert. Together they raised four children and resided in Greensburg PA .Joan was loved by everyone who met her. She was a gentle soul with a kind and caring heart. Faith and family were the core of Joan’s life. She loved holidays, taking long walks in the neighborhood, rescuing animals, and gardening. Most of all she loved life and people. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Bill, and her cherished four siblings, Kay Roeder, Bull, Jim and Bob Peterson. Surviving are two sons, Bill Dysert and Mark (Lisa) Dysert and two daughters, Debbie (Terry) Ficco and Sharon Dysert.  She was Nana to her grandchildren, Abby Ficco, Matthew Dysert and Anna Sylvester. Joan spent the last few years at Elizabeth Seton Memory Care Center residing among eleven other beautiful ladies.  Our family would like to thank the Sisters of Charity, the staff at ESMCC who became like family to us, and Chris our angel from Heartland Hospice.
