Joan Marie Robinson, 92, passed away on December 4. Born and raised in New York City, Joan lived until retirement on the same street in the Bronx, after which she moved to West Lafayette in 1997. Joan was a long-time member of St. Margaret of Cortona parish, and an alumna of Mount St. Ursula High School, Mount St. Vincent College, and Fordham Law School, all in the Bronx. She was the author of An American Legal Almanac (1978) and was working for the Matthew Bender publishing firm at retirement. In 1963, she married George Alexander Robinson, with whom she has two children.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Alex, and her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Natalie Garity. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen (Matthew) Krane of West Lafayette and Edward (Barbara) Robinson of Plainview, NY; her grandchildren, Stash, Patrick, Michael (Alicia), Robert, and Mary Kate Krane, and Cameron and Parker Robinson; and her nieces and nephews, Edward, Susan, Betty, and Joe.
