Waterford – Joan Macey Keefe, 83, of Pheasant Run died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Eddy Village Green Cohoes after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Emilie Loughrey Warenda and step-daughter of the late Michael R. Warenda. Joan was the wife for 62 years of Eugene Thomas Keefe. She had resided in Waterford since 1994 and was a 1952 graduate of Catholic Central High School.
Mrs. Keefe was a homemaker. She loved to entertain and cook for her family. Joan enjoyed knitting, cross stitching and was an avid reader.
She was an active member of the Catholic Central High School Alumni Association.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, John Patrick (Robin) Keefe, Orange, CA; several nieces and nephews, Kathleen (Joseph) Styczynski, Wynantskill, Thomas Keefe, Troy, Jeannine (Clement Borchers) Keefe, Ashland, MA, Jeanne Keefe, Troy, Mark (Patricia) Keefe, Coventry, RI, Gail (Bill) Hogan, Wilmington, NC, Fred D’Allaird and Christopher (Diane) D’Allaird, Troy
