Mrs. Joan M. Gardella, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 19, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was the widow of Andrew “Bud” Gardella.
Joan was born February 7, 1917 in Roxbury, daughter of the late Wilbur and Dr. Mary (Mitchell) MacIntyre. She was a lifelong resident of Roxbury and attended local schools. Joan went on to graduate from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1940.
