Joan Lea Smith, 72, entered into peace on Friday, November 7th, 2014 at Spring Creek Memory Care in Idaho after complications from Alzheimers. She left behind her husband, Harold Smith, Wenatchee, WA, son, Keith Hliboki, Montesano, WA, daughter, Laura (Kelly) Rhinehart, Fruitland, ID, daughter, Tiffany (Jason) Joines, Boardman, OR, step-daughter Peggy (Hal) Williamson, Hoquiam, WA , step-son, Lee Smith, Aberdeen, WA, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Joan was born April 28, 1942 in Wenatchee, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Thelma Harberson and her husbands, Jerry Hliboki and Dale Crites. Joan graduated from Mt Vernon HS in 1960 and enjoyed going to numerous class reunions. Joan was an amazing cook and hostess and loved to cook for family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and all types of crafts. She was very artistic and loved to draw and paint and many times painted windows during the holidays for local businesses. Joan loved to go camping, spend time outdoors and loved almost any critter, big or small. A very special thanks to the staff at Spring Creek of Fruitland and Heart and Home Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care and friendship provided for Joan and her family.
