Joan LaClair, age 70, of Rowayton, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brattleboro, VT, she was the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Haynes) Manley. A graduate of the University of Vermont- Class of 1962, she was the owner of the Joan LaClair Swim School.
She is survived by a son Mark LaClair, and his wife Tanya, of Westport, two daughters; Kirsten Hinds and her husband Ben of Bay Head, NJ and Joelle LaClair and her husband David Light, of Woolwich, ME, 7 cherished grandchildren; Tessa and Boden LaClair, Trevor, Brenner and Ethan Hinds, Cody and Asher Light, her partner Bob McGregor, a sister Judith Miller and her husband Roger of Brattleboro, VT and 4 nephews; Scott and Jason Miller and Tim and Dan LaClair.
