Joan H. Grimes, 79, of 1629 Almond Street, died Tuesday, Decembr 7, 2010 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Joan retired from Wachovia Bank in Elizabeth, N.J. in 1993 after 22 years and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Born November 22, 1931 in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of Martin and Ann Petrowski Hildebrandt.
Surviving are a son, Eric N. Grimes of Williamsport; seven grandchildren, George, Sharon, Danielle, Rachael and Nicholas Grimes, Richard Dunn and Jacob Brocious; and four great grandchildren, Tyler, Sean and Jack Dunn and Juliette Grimes.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Vincent E. Grimes and children, Dennis J. Grimes and Christine Ann Dunn.
The family would like to thank Twila Paulhamus for the special care she gave to Joan.
