Joan Freda Weston, 62, of Flagstaff passed away on July 2, 2005 after a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Joan was born on April 12, 1943 in Brighton-Sussex, England. She was one of fourteen children born to Ernest and Harriet Weston.
She met her husband, Donald Edwards Sr. while he was stationed in England for the U.S. Air Force. They eventually married and moved back to Chicago, Illinois in 1978. Joan worked in the retail industry, as well as a childcare provider in many places while in the military. She loved animals and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her son Donald Edwards Jr., of Flagstaff, daughter Crystal Edwards of Flagstaff and grandson Gabriel Edwards. Joan spent her last couple of days in the loving care of the Olivia White Hospice Home.
