Joan Cathryn Honke Age 86 of Corunna passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center, Flint.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Dieudonne` Ntakarutimana officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, from 5PM to 8PM with a rosary at 7PMJoan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Blair) Pretti born in Owosso, MI on December 10, 1931.Joan graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School and attended Central Michigan University before she married Glen Walter Honke on May 5, 1951 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Joan was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a avid bowler at Riverbend Bowl in Corunna, having bowled just last Wednesday bowling one of her highest games. She was a member of the Secret 6 Club, all friends from high school, and loved playing cards.Joan is survived by her Husband, Glen W. Honke; children, Mark Honke and Bev Adams, Diane (Larry) Hughes, Scott (Jeanine) Honke, Carol (Doug) Cornell; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; twin sister, Jean Perry; and other loving family members and friends.She was predeceased by two sons, David and Kurt; and two grandsons, Robert and Patrick HonkeMemorial contributions are suggested to charity of donor’s choice.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
