Jimmy “June” Leggett Jr. of Grove Hill was born to the late Jimmy and Inez Bryant Leggett of Walker Springs May 7, 1945, he was 73 years of age. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Sinai Baptist Church of Evergreen, where he remained a faithful member until death. On Friday June 15, 2018 Jimmy stepped out of time into eternity.
Preceding him in death were his loving wife, Emma Brown Leggett; two sisters, Frankie Chapman and Gayle Leggett; and three brothers, Willie James, J.W. Leggett and Carlos Leggett.
He leaves to mourn his passing three loving and devoted daughters, Sharon Leggett of Jackson, Odester Leggett of Manila and Virgdean Leggett of Lake Charles, La., two loving sons, David (Jackie) Clarke and Sylvester Leggett both of Walker Springs; thirteen grandchildrens; nine sisters, Daisy (Alpine) Perine, Marie Laggett and Bernice Leggett all of Milwaukee, Wisc., Mamie (Richard) Edmond and Diane Edmond both of Mobile, Florene Leggett of Walker Springs, Linda (Marion) Burroughs of Whatley, Janice (Robert) Black of Choctaw Bluff and Felecia Parker of Birmingham; one brother, Chester Lee of Milwaukee; devoted friends, Johnetta Jackson, John Edmond and Odell Pugh Jr., all of Jackson; with a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.
