He was born November 15, 1940 in Heard County, GA. to the late Henry Phillips and Bessie Whitley Phillips. He is also survived by his grandson Cameron Phillips and siblings Talmadge Phillips, Mavis Arnett, Gladys Edmondson Lewis and S.R. Phillips.
