Jimmey (Jim) Lee Andrick of Hope, Michigan passed away at home on August 4, 2022. We know that Jim is marveling at the beautifully lush forests in heaven and is experiencing joy over unsanctioned whitetail hunting. Jim was a workhorse, spending most of his life cutting trees, working around his family’s centennial farm, and serving as a hub of support for his family and friends. Jim was an avid hunter and looked forward to November 15th every year. He was a skilled woodsman and spent his life clearing land for people to “get on the map.”

He also gained knowledge through various other positions he held in life such as a large equipment mechanic and operator, building demolition laborer, and co-owner of C&J Firewood. In addition, he farmed his family’s land and raised cattle, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. There were some things that Jim was passionate about: Husqvarna chainsaws, tractors particularly John Deere and Farmalls, firearm deer season, and helping his family and friends when they needed some expertise, a helping hand, or a listening ear. In his younger years, he was a bit of a rabble rouser and there have been many stories shared of shenanigans that he took part in. As he aged, the narrative changed as Jim provided guidance and support to those who sought his advice and expertise.

Jim was born to the late Dorothy (Schlegal) and Floyd Andrick Sr. on December 22, 1945 in Midland, MI.  Surviving Jim is his wife, Betty Andrick of Hope, MI, his daughter, JoLynn (Dan) Lippie of Sanford, MI, his son John (Melissa) Weston of Iron River, MI  his daughter Syndi Neeb of Bay City, MI and Michael (Connie) Mason of Midland, MI. He is also survived by his sister Beverly Small of Longview, TX, his sister Wilma (Tom) Thurston of Beaverton, MI, and his brother Floyd Andrick Jr. of Midland, MI. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Riley, Harrison, Weston, Sawyer, Bryce, and Chelsea. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Floyd Andrick Sr., his son, James, his sister Barbara, and his brothers Dale and Paul.
