Jim Lancaster, age 67, of Green Forest, AR entered eternal life on August 2, 2010. He was born on July 24, 1943 in Lake Providence, LA to the late Brady Lancaster and Odelia King Lancaster. Before his retirement, Jim was a welder Pipe Fitter for local #602 (union) of, Washington, D.C. His welding career took him all over the country before he settled in Green Forest. On January 8, 1994 he was united in marriage to Connie Tipton, a native of Carroll County. Jim will be remembered by all who knew him as a good and loving man. He was respectful, took great pride in his purpose in life , had a great sense of humor, loved telling jokes, playing tricks on people and enjoyed traveling. Above all, he was a devoted husband, dad, granddad and friend. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Green Forest and was a member of Green Forest Yell Masonic Lodge # 64. He is survived by his wife Connie Lancaster of the home, daughters, CJ Lancaster-Bellinger and husband Robert of Woodstock, GA, Donna Tindle and husband Jimmy of Old Fort, TN, Tina Arnold and husband Wade of Green Forest, Sherry Jones and husband Jimmy of Green Forest, two sons: Michael Lancaster and wife Robin of Cleveland, TN and Kevin Bailey and wife Mona of Green Forest, sisters: Linda Alamond and husband Louis and Shirley Chapman of Lake Providence, LA, brothers: Kenneth Lancaster and wife Carolyn of Utica, MS and Brady Lancaster and wife Debbie of Monroe, LA, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Jim is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lancaster, brother-in-law Terry Chapman and one infant daughter.
