Jim Henry Evans of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 11, 1946 in Forrest City, the son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Lyons Evans. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan, where he served as Chairman of Deacons. Jim was a retired plant supervisor for Entergy, had formerly served in the United States Air Force, enjoyed spending time outdoors; fishing, hunting, and camping, and really liked to travel. Jim’s greatest love was his Lord, and he was so thankful for his wife and family that God blessed him with. Mr. Evans died Monday, January 27, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Walter Logan Evans. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Anneida Neisler Evans of Sheridan; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Nancy Evans of Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Devin Warner of Texarkana, Arkansas; brothers, Bernar and Gary Evans, both of Forrest City; sisters, Molly Sue Vondran of Caldwell and Betty Brawner of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Matt Warner, Braden Warner, Everett Evans, Zoe Evans, and Breaker Evans (on the way); great grandson, Aiden; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
