HAVERHILL – Jillian Scalfani, 35, lifelong Haverhill resident passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, surrounded by her family and her closest friends at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

Jillian courageously fought cervical cancer for nearly four years. She was born and raised in Haverhill and attended Haverhill Public Schools. Jillian worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for many years until she graduated from Blaine Hairdressing School and worked at Super Cuts in Stoneham and Methuen for most of her professional career until she could no longer work.

She was a proud ambassador for Cervivor, a group of women fighting for a cure and raising awareness of cervical cancer. Jillian will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was an optimist even on her worst days, staying positive and always making her family and friends laugh!

Jillian’s loving survivors include her cherished children Jayden Johnson, 14, and Joseph Rickard, 5 years old; her partner Joseph Rickard; mother Rose Scalfani, grandmother Jude Scalfani Greene; sister Brittney Scalfani; aunts Mary Scalfani and Pamela Perkins; uncle Donald Perkins; cousins Kaylynn Perkins and Ryan Gleed; her dedicated extended family Lisa House, Heather Riley, and Kelly Macdonald Bekker who selflessly cared for Jillian and will always hold a special place in their hearts. Jillian’s loved ones would like to thank the caring staff of the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill for the love and care they have given to Jillian, thank you.
