Jill Turner Brabender (Pegler), age 53 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. Daughter of Linda Lightner of Canton, CT and William Pegler of Port St. Lucie, FL, she was born December 22, 1968, in Greenwich, CT. She is survived by daughters Emily Rose and Erica Rose, both of Indianapolis, IN and son Alex Rose of Del Ray Beach, FL. She was engaged to her Fiancé, Greg Widenhofer of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by siblings Sara Chabot of Duxbury, MA; Hutch Pegler (Ryann) of Darien, CT; Peter Lightner (Nicola) of Simsbury, CT; and Kelly Pegler (Stacey Scarso) of Trumbull, CT. Jill also leaves behind a niece and many nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Byron Lightner. Jill attended elementary and secondary schools in Simsbury, CT and graduated from SUNY-Plattsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1990.

Jill enjoyed photography; she loved taking photos of nature, birds, and of course her family. She made many videos for her family to look back on after every vacation. She was incredibly passionate about music and loved seeing live performances. Among her other hobbies, she also enjoyed cooking for her family and hosting dinners once a week. Jill enjoyed a successful career in technology.
Jill was the most kind-hearted friend, mother, and partner that anybody would have been lucky to know. She is gone too soon and will be forever missed and loved by many.
