Jessie Lonzo Coffey, Jr 83 of Madison Alabama passed away on September 28, 2022 in Huntsville Alabama. Jessie was born December 09, 1938 to Jessie L Coffey Sr and Juanita Moore Coffey. He graduated from S.R. Butler High School in 1957. After graduation, he worked in quality assurance for the Alabama Highway Department. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958. Most of his tour of duty was spent in Germany. He was honorably discharged in July 1964. After returning to Huntsville with his new bride Liesel W. Coffey and stepson Larry Wissmann, Jessie was employed as a telephone technician, retiring in 2006.
He is survived by one brother Greg Coffey (Barb) of Huntsville; one sister Marilyn Coffey of Huntsville, sister-in-law Peggy Coffey of Owens Cross Roads and daughter-in-law Alex Wissmann of California, and many nieces and nephews. Jessie was preceded in death by his wife Liesel W. Coffey, his parents Jessie and Juanita Coffey, stepson Larry Wissmann, and brother Loyd Coffey.
