Jessica Suzanne Taylor gained her angel wings Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at 11:11 am. She was 28 years old. Jessica was the most beautiful little sister, daughter, niece, cousin, aunt, friend, poet, pianist, kind, caring, loving, brave, courageous human on this planet. Born on June 15, 1989, to Jim and Susan Taylor, Jessica attended Coronado Elementary School, Deer Creek Middle School and Chatfield High School. Because of Jessica’s illness, she was on Homebound through Jefferson County for 4 years with her incredible mentor – and Jess would say super smart teacher – Sherian. Survived by her mom and dad; sister Lindsay; brothers Jack (Kara) and Eric (Melissa); her very adored nieces Alana, Neela and Claire; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends; best friend Dani; her beloved firefighters and paramedics. Jess always fought a long and painful battle with an unforgiving illness with grace, love and joy. Her journey has been difficult, yet beautiful. Jessica’s positive energy was inspiring, her laugh was contagious, and her unconditional love was magical. She was brilliant. Jessica had a generous spirit and a quiet wisdom. The most perfect combination of wit and compassion. Our sweet Jess was loved by so many and the world will not be the same without her. Our hearts are broken, our pain is great. She is dancing in heaven with her beautiful butterflies now, free of pain. She has been our love, strength and joy. In her short 28 years here on earth she became a learned philosopher and teacher to us all. She was a gifted poet and a musical composer, as well as a brilliant pianist. She made her keys sing. Thank you Jess for being you and bringing joy that will last forever. Someone once said, it’s not the words spoken by her although they are beautiful, it’s how she makes you feel when you are with her. “If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay forever.” – Winnie the Pooh. We love you forever and always our beautiful Jess.
