Jesse “J.B.†Shough, 63, of Stuart, VA, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Pioneer Hospital in Stuart. Born on December 23, 1948 in Patrick County, he was a son of Dorothy Craig Turner of Stuart, VA and Jesse A. Shough of Ridgeway, VA. He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Woods Shough; a brother, Timothy Lee Shough and step-father, Larney “L.E.†Turner. Mr. Shough was a Vietnam veteran, having served as a Medic in the U. S. Army with the First Infantry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Combat Medical Badge. Prior to retirement he was an independent truck driver. He was a member of Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. He played in a band known as The Gospel Tones. In addition to his parents, survivors include son, Jason Shough of Stuart, VA; step-son, Neal Woods of Martinsville, VA; sister, Carolyn Young of Johnson City, TN and brother, Michael Shough of Ridgeway, VA.
