JERRY E. WARD, 64, a lifelong resident of Deming passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016, at his home.
Jerry was born July 27, 1951, in Silver City to Edwin J. Ward and Georgia Barnett. He was a longtime rancher here in Luna County and most recently had been attending the First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ward of Deming; parents, Edwin J. Ward of Garfield, Georgia Grider of Deming; sons, Shady Ward (Kim) and Cheyenne Ward of Deming; daughters, Shalan Ward and Montana Ward of Deming; brothers, Dale and David Grider, Allen and Mike Ward; sisters, Sharon Merhige, Cecilia Orvold, Kathleen Keene, and Marleen Ward; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother, James Arland Grider, a sister, Brenda Evonne Ellison, and his stepfather, James Grider.
