Jerry Walter Aldous

Jerry Walter Aldous, of Ogden, UT, died on Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was 66.

Jerry was born on August 24, 1949, to Walter and Lorriane Aldous. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army May 1, 1975. He was an Artic Ranger with 75th infantry, 171st support battalion where he was a communications chief and section leader. He was 1 of 121 fellow Rangers who jumped from a C-130 Transport plane. He fell for 90 seconds 1, 250 feet to the freezing Artic Ice Cap.

Jerry had a passion for Cooking, Hunting, and Fishing. He loved his family, and his Job of 20 years as a security guard. His brownies were loved by all. He swapped recipes with anyone that shared his love for food. He had the best camping stories, and his big fish or hunt stories we unforgettable.

Jerry is survived by his Children, Mat (Susan), Chessa (Kyle) and Spring (Jacob); his stepdaughter, Catreena (Michah); His Collected Children, Brandt, Andy, John and Penny; His Sweet Heart, Delores; his 5 Siblings, and16 grandkids preceded in death by His parents and brothers.

Jerry will always be remembered as our ‘Stubborn Cowboy’. He was the best practical joker, story teller, listener, he was always there with a shoulder to lean on and words of wisdom. There was not a moment he was not proud of his kids and grandkids.
He earned the name Papa & everyone loved Papa Jerry.
