Jerry Wayne Bell was born November 11, 1944 in Dozier, Alabama. He passed away on Aug 26, 2014, in a local hospital in Niceville, Florida.  Jerry graduated from Dozier High School in 1962, and married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte Sims, of Brantley, Alabama.  They were married for 33 years before Charlotte passed away in 1997.

Jerry started his career with Noland Company in Montgomery, Alabama where he began working in the warehouse.  Later, he transitioned to an outside sales position before being promoted to Branch Manager of the Fort Walton Beach branch in 1979.  Under Jerry’s leadership, the Fort Walton Beach branch received numerous awards for outstanding sales and operational excellence.

Jerry was an avid golfer. He played several courses throughout the southeast in various golf tournaments.  He was a member at Rocky Bayou Country Club in Niceville for many years.  One of his proudest achievements while playing golf was winning the Rocky Bayou Club Championship.  

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Sims, his parents, John Edward Bell and Beatrice Free, his brother, James Edward Bell, and his granddaughter, Shelby Elizabeth Prescott.  He is survived by his daughters, Faith Bell Prescott (Bruce) and Pam Bell Yantis (Drew) both of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister, June Foreman of Dozier, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Steven Prescott, Annalyn Yantis, Andrew Yantis, and Ansley Yantis; and several nieces and nephews.
