Jerry R. Ebner, 56, of Utica, died Thursday morning, April 24, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, following a 3-week illness. Mr. Ebner was born on October 30, 1951, in Spring Valley to Eugene and Aline (Locke) Ebner. He was a graduate of Tonica High School, class of 1969, and IVCC. He was the General Manager of the Utica Elevator. He married Linda Bresney on Feb. 6, 1971, in Streator.
He was a member of the Illinois Grain Dealers Association, served on the Board of Directors of the LaSalle State Bank, and a past member of the Business Association of Utica. He was inducted into the Illinois Valley Bowling Hall of Fame, and was a past Bowler of the Year. He was a member of the 300 Club, and the 800 Club. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, 2 sisters, Judy Ebner of LaSalle, and Janet (Ray) Wolf, of Streator, 2 brothers, Jim (Alice) Ebner of Oglesby, and Joe (Shelly) Ebner, of Peru, 17 nieces and nephews, and 22 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one niece.
