Jerry Neal Jolliff, 78, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away on December 8, 2015 at Barnes- Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jerry was born on January 15, 1937, in Centralia to Oscar Jolliff and Annabelle Sanders. He married Marilyn Flanigan on April 5, 1959 and she survives in Centralia.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by daughter, Barri Allen of Edwardsville, daughter, Sonya Gettinger and husband Michael of Centralia, son, Jerry Jolliff Jr. of Salem, daughter Jessica Koelling and husband James of Hoyelton, son Brock Jolliff and wife Stacey of Centralia. Twelve grandchildren, Abbey, Macey, Ceara, Dimi, McKenzie, Gavin, Jaysie, Jayda, Jaylyn, Jamie, JJ, and Devane. One sister, Janet Bushong and husband Dale, two brothers, Rick McMillan and wife Donna, and Jimmy Jolliff and wife Marsha, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Judy Jolliff and Jackie Brown.
Jerry was a member of the catholic faith, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centralia. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, he was a golden gloves boxer, an entrepreneur and owned several businesses in his lifetime which include Jerry’s Bigger Jigger and Nevada Bob’s Golf & Tennis.
He enjoyed sports and played many throughout his life including, golf, softball, baseball, bocci ball, and pool. He was an avid Cubs fan (mostly to taunt his grandchildren). Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
