Jerry Mack Daniels, age 74, passed away Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Sampson County, NC, he was the son of the late Maxwell and Thelma Brogden Daniels. He was a retired Sergeant with the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his children, Shannon D. Whitfield & husband, Jeremy, Teri B. Thornton & husband, D.R. and Timothy Shawn Daniels; his brother, Dennis Daniels & wife, Rose; sisters, Vicky Sauls & husband, David, Faye Perkins & husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Blake Best, Andrew Lopez, Madison Daniels, Kaysie Thornton, Hunter Whitfield; great grandchildren, Brayden Best and Holden Best; Special Canine Friend, Tanner.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, friend & mother of his children, Cathy Best Hernandez.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Brian Center and Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the loving care given to Jerry.
