He attended Merino High School, NJC, and CSU. Jerry taught at Sterling High School, worked in the oil fields for Tex Monroe’s Pumping Service, and the Unrein pumping service. He later worked at Riverview Golf as the grounds keeper, ending his work career with Northeastern 18.

Jerry was an active member of the Sterling Elks Lodge #1336, serving on the Elk’s board of directors. His hobbies were playing golf and he enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harlan Hamilton.

Jerry is survived by his sister Sharon (Dave) Hovis of Goodland, KS, brothers Howard (Elna) Hamilton of Crook, CO, and Don (Linda) Hamilton of Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law Wilma Hamilton of Arkansas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.
