Those left to honor Jerry’s memory are his two sons, Dion McConnell of Boone, Iowa; and Shane McConnell of Iowa; his two daughters, Lauren Foraker of Coralville, Iowa; and Tiarra (and Gary) Formanek of Toledo, Iowa; several grandchildren; his four brothers, Chris (and Hope) McConnell; Randy (and Julie) McConnell; Jeff McConnell; and Kevin McConnell, all of Newton, Iowa; his sister, Bonnie (and Dave) Cooper of Newton, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos A. and Lois E. (Davis) McConnell; a grandchild; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jerry served his country in the U. S.
Jerry enjoyed martial arts and was a Golden Gloves boxer. He also enjoyed old Western movies, fishing, camping, dancing, his cats, Elvis and Pontiac GTOs.
