Jerrica Lea Grounds,34, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

Jerrica was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 13, 1988 to Kristi Tibbs-Fleener.

Whether you called her Jerrica, Jer, Aunt Chica, or Jerrica Lea you know she loved hard with everything and fought ever harder never backing down from anything or showing any signs of weakness. Protecting those she held closest to her heart. She was a warrior that wore her armor well with her heart on her sleeve. She fought long and hard, still refusing to admit defeat as her body was too tired to continue on any longer no matter how weak, tired, and sick she felt as her body had been giving up, she’d never admit it or let it show. Tried her best to cover it up.

She’d help anyone in any way she could even if they were just using her.

Music, poetry, sewing, crafts, anything beauty, shoe fetish makeup, hair, and nail pro.

Her most cherished and biggest joy in life was the day she learned true forever unconditional love with tears flowing and the happiness and joy that completed her, proudly expressed on her face when her beautiful baby girl was laid on her chest.

She was always doing something (not lazy!) fun or adventurous.. Unless she was eating or sleeping. The scary carnival rides or amusement park, Camping, concerts, fishing, swimming,  Making special holidays treats or not with the kids a craft of some sort.

She collected Holiday edition barbies and shoes, she LOVED her shoes! Always been about the beauty industry, that started with nails watching grandma Jody do clients nails in her shop as a little girl. Hair, makeup, nails, clothes, shopping, she loved it all.

She was always doing something, especially if it put a smile on a kid’s face. A kid magnet every kid called her Aunt Chica cooking, baking, cool holiday treats or hair crocheting baby blankets a true diy’er making tutus coloring

Survived by her daughter; her siblings Joshua Grounds, Jeffrey Grounds, and Shana Fleener; her aunt Karen; and many nieces and nephews
