Jerome “Jerry” W. Lekarczyk, 84, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in his home. Jerry was born on February 7, 1933, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Walter and Louise (Wcisel) Lekarczyk. On September 17, 1955, in St. Adalbert Church, he married Lorraine Novinich, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015. Surviving are two sons, David (Michelle) Lekarczyk of Valparaiso, Indiana and Andrew (Cathy) Lekarczyk of South Bend, Indiana; five grandchildren, Erica, Crystal, Courtney, Lynlee, and Lacie; and seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Lekarczyk. Jerry enjoyed watching Notre Dame sports. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
