Jerome Driscoll, 89, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he lived in Bloomingdale, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. 20 years ago. Jerome was a Pipe Fitter and a 55 year member of Local 274 in Parsippany, NJ, retiring in 1988. He was a US Merchant Marine WWII veteran and a US Army Korean War veteran. Jerome was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, Butler, NJ and St. Maximilian RC Church, Berkeley Twp.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Butler, NJ and was active at the Holiday City West Clubhouse, participating in Bocce, Bowling and Billiards. Jerome was predeceased by his wife Elsie (nee Rosenberger) in June 2014 and his son Timothy in 1982. He is survived by 5 sons and their spouses Edward & Lori Driscoll of West Milford, NJ, Jerome Jr. & Susan of Secaucus, NJ, Fred & Gladys Driscoll of Kinnelon, NJ, Daniel Driscoll of Pompton Plains, NJ, Michael & Allison Driscoll of Hoboken, NJ, 12 grandchildren Jessica, Bobby, Peter, Timothy, Ryan, Marissa, Carl, Hannah, Madeline, Julia, Jack & James and 1 great grandchild Robert “R.J”.
