Jerold Darnell, 81, of Belleville, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in St. Louis, MO.He was born January 31, 1939 in Paducah, Ky. Jerold was a Pastor of Spring Valley Baptist Church in Shiloh, IL and a Lifelong Mason and member of the Ainad Shrine Temple in East St. Louis, former pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Salem, IL along with being a former pastor of Wickliffe Baptist Church in Wickliffe, Ky.
Jerold enjoyed guns, target shooting and collecting knives. He was a proud union member for 25 years and enjoyed running a painting business, One Way Painting, with his son.Jerold was preceded by his parents, Aaron and Beulah Darnell, nee Humphrey; wife, Bonnie Darnell, nee Sullivan; three brothers, Kelly, Dallas and Pat Darnell; seven sisters, Thalma Short, Lava Vaughn, Lorene Wallace, Peggy Phelps, Offie Darnell, Mary Darnell and Aubrey Darnell.
He is survived by his two children, Monta (Ray) Morales of Belleville, IL and Don (Kim) Darnell of Independence, MO; one sister, Jeanette (Dan) Wallace of Symsonia, Ky; seven grandchildren, Diana (Jon) White; Valerie Morales, Aaron Morales, Lindsay (Bryan) Farley, Tiffany Darnell and Dylan Darnell, Victoria Darnell; and great-grandchilren, Nolan White, Evelyn White, Jace Morales, Ava Farley, Marcus Farley and Stela Darnell.
