Beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend, Jennifer Sue Schrandt, 51, of Lafayette, IN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was born September 7, 1970, in Parma, OH, to Charles and Sue (Schmidt) Dolfuss. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and a master’s in counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Jennifer lived her life as a daughter and servant of God. On April 15, 2000, she married Greg Schrandt. She spent her time caring for her five children, homeschooling them, and raising them to be servants of God. She attended Harvest Chapel Church of Lafayette along with her family.
Surviving along with her husband, Greg, are their children, Ava, Levi, Asher, Josephine and Evangeline Schrandt. She’s also survived by her mother, Sue Ellen Dolfuss of Fort Wayne, her brother, Craig (wife Michelle) Dolfuss of Fort Wayne, her brother-in-law, Doug (wife Jordan) Schrandt of Billings, MO and a sister-in-law, Laurie (husband Jeff) Burks of Jenison, MI. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henry Dolfuss and a sister-in-law, Kim Schrandt.
Jennifer had a heart that overflowed with generosity, kindness, compassion, and the love of Jesus towards others. She did not live for the things of this world, but she laid down her life daily for Jesus and is now wearing her crown in heaven.
