Jemel Rashad Williams, 25, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 as a result of a tragic car accident. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, February 8, 1991. He is the son of Gwendolyn Eaddy and Barrington Williams. He is the grandson of Viola Eaddy, Henry Eaddy, Mr. Willie Nelson (Grandpa Willie), Paulette Williams and Barrington Williams. As a child Jemel was shy, fun loving and mischievous. Jemel spent most of his young adult life living on his terms. He was a compassionate, free spirited individual who loved all living things, from the flea ridden cat to the turtle his dad bought him. All who knew him know he believed life was to be lived to its fullest. He graduated 2009 from Westover Job Corp Center in Chicopee, MA where he earned a Culinary Arts Certificate. Jemel loved to cook but his real passion was singing…he sung like a bird and one of his last songs was to his Mom as a Mother’s Day gift. Jemel is survived by his brothers, Quenton Williams and Elijah Adonai; sisters, Janya Adonai, Nyrissa Williams and Nevaeh Williams; nephews Rashan and Amyis Williams and, Auntie Heather, Auntie Jackie Auntie Natalie, and (Auntie Virginia and Auntie Brenda), Uncle Darrin and Uncle Richard as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
