Jeffrey Nicholson, 54, of Ottawa, passed away on July 21, 2017 peacefully in Seattle, Washington, in the loving company of his family after a short battle with cancer.
Jeff was born on December 29, 1962 in Ottawa to Carl and Sharon (Meyers) Nicholson. He attended Ottawa Township High School and continued to receive certification in heating and air conditioning at Sauk Valley College.
Jeff belonged to Local 75 Joliet, and was an avid renovator and experienced carpenter.
Jeff married Tammy Hartshorn on November 2, 1982, in North Dakota.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tammy, a daughter Nichole Nicholson, 2 sons Jacob and Brandt, of Seattle, Washington, his mother Sharon Nicholson, of Utica, a sister, Lisa Nicholson, of Utica, a brother Curt Nicholson of Ft. Lauderdale, and nieces nephews, and his Godchild. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Carl, his beloved son Carl “Carly Bear” Nicholson, his mother- in-law, Martha “Midge” Hartshorn, and a beloved friend Bonnie Dye.
