Jeffrey L. Sampson of McKinney, TX, and formerly of Jacksonville Beach, FL, died on Monday. January 2, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 29, 1951, the son of the late Nicholas Sampson and Elinor Lowrie Sampson. He obtained a BS at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree from Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, and a Master’s degree from the University of Florida in Physics. He worked as an electrical engineer after graduation, and worked at Boeing for the last eight years of his career.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Sampson, of McKinney, TX; and mother, Elinor Sampson; sister, Judy Rowan; brother, Charlie Sampson, of Jacksonville Beach, FL.
Jeff was a devout Christian, and attended reformed Baptist and reformed Presbyterian churches throughout his life. He attended North Cities United Pentecostal Church in McKinney toward the end of his life.
