Jeffrey Lynn Shasteen, age 61, of Florida, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Palm Beach Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1953 in Salem, Ohio, son of James E. and Mary M. (Albert) Shasteen. He was a 1971 graduate of Salem High School, where he participated in track and field, winning the district high jump championship in 1971. After high school, Jeff moved to Florida and graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic College. He then moved to New Jersey to work for American Business Products, and after several years, having an ownership stake in the company then became president for over 20 years. He was the first distributor of Apple computer products in New Jersey and in New York City areas. Upon retiring Jeff moved to the Palm Beach Garden Jupiter area, where he enjoyed friends, golf, swimming, outdoor activities, writing, watching sports particularly football. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Shasteen; a niece, Samantha L. Shasteen, and a grand niece, Lillian S. Balogh.. Survivors include his mother Mary M. Shasteen of Salem, Ohio; a son, Jeffrey Shasteen and a daughter, Christie Shasteen both of New Jersey; brothers Garry (Mary Ann) Shasteen of Salem, Ohio; David (Cheryl) Shasteen of Orlando, Florida, Mark (Karla) Shasteen of Unionville, Pa.
