Jeffrey Keith Warfield, 64, of O’Fallon, IL, born October 4, 1953, in Granite City, IL, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Jeff was a man of many passions and a true family man. Known as the “Fishin’ Musician,” Jeff wowed family, friends, bandmates, and audiences across the Metro East with his unbreakable rhythm and love for music.
With a sense of humor and wit like Jeff’s, he radiated positivity through even the toughest of times. He was joking until the very end. Though an avid fisherman, Jeff could be referred to as a lazy hunter. He dabbled in photography and retired as a production manager for Labor Tribune with additional work for The Outdoor Guide. Jeff was also a member of the O’Fallon Sportsman’s Club. Jeff will be remembered for his many years of love and wisdom.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Gayle Belt (nee Tayloe); Surviving is his wife, Mary Dolores Warfield (nee Kanady) of O’Fallon, IL; four children, Tiffany (Alex) Watson of Spring Lake, NC, Graham (Carly) Imming of St. Louis, MO, Melody Warfield of O’Fallon, IL, Kathryn Warfield of O’Fallon, IL; father, Buddy Gene Warfield of Alhambra, IL; two brothers, Alan (Rita) Warfield of Granite City, IL, Tommy Warfield of Witcha, KS; five grandchildren, Alexis Prewitt, Evan Watson, Ethan Watson, Londyn Imming, Lorraine Warfield; aunt Nancy (John) Conkovich of Granite City, IL; uncle Terry Tayloe (Ann Talbert) of Collinsville, IL, also survived by a stepfather, step-siblings and their families.
