GROMAN – Jeffrey C. Groman, 55, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born August 27, 1967 in Winsted; the beloved son of Joyce (Fines) Groman of Winsted and the late Jerry C. Groman, Sr., who passed away in 2020.
Jeff grew up in Winsted and attended local schools. He owned and operated a very successful custom tile and flooring company for many years. He was highly skilled at tiling and put his heart into every job. His hard work and diligence turned most of his clients into true friends.
Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing cards, socializing and was a huge New Orleans Saints football fan. He also had a passion for cooking and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his cherished children, Kyle Groman of Winsted and Courtney Groman of Terryville; granddaughter, Reese of Terryville; close brother, Jerry Groman, Jr., and wife Tracy of Colebrook; nephews and niece, Jesse, Ryan and Nora; significant other and her son, Kathy Balch and Peter of Torrington; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
