Jeffery Smithey Age 56, of Gary, Indiana, was called by the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2020.Jeffrey is survived by his; mother, Barbara Smithey; siblings; David, Deborah, Terry and Edward; sisters, Suzi and Amber; daughters, Jacqualyn and Ashleigh; two grandchildren; Joseph and Mattisyn; love of his life, Tammy Miller; dozen nieces and nephews and so many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends to name… but all were very loved by Jeffery. He was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Hugh Smithey.
With this in mind, and the public welfare and reverent care at the heart of our mission, Solan Pruzin Funeral Home is committed to strictly following all prevailing federal, state, and local mandates in suppressing the spread of COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus. While restrictive to public gatherings and events, these mandates are for the greater good of our community and nation.
We are asking no more than 10 people at a time as requested by our Governor of Indiana. To maintain that, we ask families to wait in their vehicles in the front of the building and we will usher them in as other families paying their respects leave.
