Jeff Mitchell, 49 of West Bend died Monday October 20, 2014 at his home in West Bend, due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Born October 10, 1965, in Le Mars, Iowa to Mary Margaret Prentice and Michael Gilbert Mitchell, Jeff lived in numerous Iowa towns before the family settled in Sioux City. He graduated from North High School in 1984. He worked as a truck driver until very recently.
Jeff enjoyed shooting his guns at target practice, researching family history and conversations with family and friends. He will be especially remembered for his hearty laugh, love of the open road and generous spirit.
Survivors include his loving family: mother Mary Prentice and Dick Kayser; sister Jacqueline Mitchell and husband Gregg McGrath of Hingham, Massachusetts; brother Shawn Mitchell of Overland Park, Kansas; nephew Ryan Etzel of San Diego, California; and nieces Talia Mitchell of Kansas, Katie McGrath, Alicia McGrath and Kaylee McGrath of Massachusetts.
