Jeanne “JB” Zachary, cherished by her husband, family, and friends, passed peacefully from this world into eternal glory on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at age 90.
Born in Alexandria, Virginia, to Nathan and Margaret Boothe, she later married Rex Arlen Zachary, and together they raised a son, Wayne, and two daughters, SuAnne and Dana. Jeanne was active in several groups, including “The Designers,” “Rowdy Girls,” Bible study, Hill Country Cattle Women, Kendall County Republican Women, and a swim group at the Boerne Benedictine Center; she also volunteered at Boerne Chamber of Commerce.
Jeanne was a true social butterfly; she relished brunches with friends and spending time with family. She delighted in the beauty of the world around her and poured love into her home and yard through decorating and gardening. She enjoyed learning, reading history, and appreciating the arts, and Jeanne’s flair and grace in wearing a hat was unmatched.
She was beautiful in every way imaginable, loving all and in turn, loved by all, and she will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Now she rests in her eternal reward, forever embraced and comforted by her Savior.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Rex; sister Pat; and puppy, Stella Dallas. She is survived by her three children; her sister Joanne; grandchildren Meagan, Jerad, and Margaret Lauren; and great-grandchildren Ellie Rose and Harper James.
